My name’s Doug Bolton, and I’m a 22 year old writer.

I’m originally from Darlington, but escaped to do an English BA at The University of Liverpool in 2011. Betraying my Northern roots entirely, I moved to London in September 2014, to do an MA in Interactive Journalism at City University. I started working at The Independent as a casual shift reporter towards the end of my degree, and was hired after I handed in my last piece of coursework. Later I became a technology and science reporter at the paper, and left in May 2016 to move to Gothenburg, Sweden, to pursue new challenges.

If you want to get in touch, please do! You can find all my details on the contact page.
